We achieve a high degree of patient satisfaction because we pay attention to detail.  You will have an in-depth consultation with your surgeon, which starts with a discussion to understand your goals.  In this way, the procedure is properly tailored to your needs.  Your medical history will be reviewed, and an ultrasound scan will provide the complete picture of the muscle, fat, and gland tissue layers situated beneath the skin.  This precise medical detail allows the surgeon to establish an accurate surgical plan.  Before and after photos of past patients with similar grades of gynecomastia will help you visualise the results of surgery for your case.  The consultation takes approximately one hour.

If you decide that surgery is right for you, a few additional medical tests will be carried to ensure your safety during the procedure.  Your anaesthetist will ensure your comfort, and our two theatre nurses will assist.

Over the ensuing weeks after surgery, several follow up visits are scheduled to monitor the healing process.  The nursing staff will check for any signs of wound infection, make adjustments to your compression garment, and provide treatments to help minimise scarring and reduce swelling.

In the UK since 1992, she was admitted onto the register of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2000, and over the years has logged thousands of aesthetic surgery procedures.

Meet Dr Alex

Dr Alex is a cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist who has both UK and international credentials.  She trained at the prestigious A. V. Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery in Moscow, where she was awarded the MD and PhD degrees with highest honors.  In the UK since 1992, she was admitted onto the register of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2000, and over the years has logged thousands of aesthetic surgery procedures.  In addition, Dr. Alex has been board certified by both the International Division of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.  Moreover, in 2017, she was named Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

In the UK, Dr. Alex has been a pioneer in establishing best practices for aesthetic surgery.  She is past President of the British Association of Body Sculpting (BABS), of which she was a founding member.  The association is a non-profit organisation working for the establishment and oversight of clinical practice standards, professional conduct, training, and continuous professional development of aesthetic surgery procedures. As part of the fellowship program offered by the BABS, she has trained many other UK surgeons in best practices for gynecomastia, liposuction, and facelifts.

Dr. Alex is a frequent speaker at international conferences, and has contributed many book chapters and peer-reviewed articles in medical journals.  Her UK credentials can be reviewed online at the General Medical Council website. Her GMC registration number is 4688570.
