Galvanic Skin Treatments

What are Galvanic skin treatments?

Galvanic skin treatments are used to tone up muscles, promote blood circulation, increase cell metabolism and activate enzymes. This treatment helps healing after surgical and non-surgical procedures and improves the quality and firmness of skin.

How is it done?

Skin is cleansed and a conductive gel is applied. A therapist moves an applicator that conducts the galvanic current in the direction of lymphatic drainage and blood circulation or on the surface of the healing wound. This motion is repeated for 10-15 minutes on the same area for optimum results.

Does it hurt?

No, slight prickling or tingling sensation is felt under the tips, sometimes slight muscle twitching occurs but it is not painful.

What to expect after the treatment?

Any slight redness and swelling will settle very quickly and make up can be applied immediately.

How many treatments are necessary?

Normally a course of 6-12 treatments, once or twice a week is recommended. A top up treatment is advised once every 3-6 months.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Galvanic skin treatments are especially effective with radio frequency skin tightening and Microdermabrasion.
